This is the family room of a
2,300 sq. ft. residential finished basement. The concrete floor
was acid-stained after scoring a
14" interior border around the perimeter of the room, an accent
wall border in front of the fireplace, and 4' square diagonal
tiles in the interior of the room. Scofield's
"Weathered Bronze" acid stain was used for the interior border, QC's "Adobe"
acid stain for the fireplace border, and Decosup's "Aged Leather" acid
stain for the body of the floor. The floor was sealed with 3 coats of a
solvent acrylic sealer, which really brought out the coloring and adds a nice
luster to the final product.
