This
is the main room of an 1,150 sq. ft. basement floor. We installed a
decorative concrete overlay and then acid stained
after removing black cutback tile adhesive by concrete grinding, and performing 225 lineal
feet of concrete crack repair. The homeowner had encountered
flooding problems and had to remove the existing
carpet and tile. The acid stain color is a mix of Walnut and Antique Amber
from
Scofield's Lithochrome Chemstain designed to
give the floor the look of wood. The concrete overlay was decoratively
scored (using the "contemporary" pattern
here)
to convey the impression of inlaid sections.
