This project is a finished basement acid-stained concrete floor. The photos on the left show the great deal of paint spatter and overspray that had to be removed prior to staining. We were able to remove the paint without damaging the concrete surface by using a diamond cup grinder fitted with a silicon carbide sanding disc.
We then applied Decosup Chemtone "Redwood" acid stain with a pump up sprayer, allowing the stain to sit overnight before rinsing the excess residue. The color took beautifully, and we applied a solvent-based, clear acrylic sealer and water-based floor finish to protect the floor and allow for easy maintenance.
